LV DOES TEMPORARY URBAN GARDEN IN NEW STORE IN LONDON

<span class=

For the openning of their latest store, in the retail island of Westfield, in London’s Shepherds Bush, Louis Vuitton commissioned Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller to produce a temporary urban garden that will be unveiled at the store’s opening ceremony. Designed as a contemporary symbol of sustainability and natural energy – the garden should bring a little life to Louis’s latest retail bolthole. I love the concept and just thinks that makes for a different shopping (or window shopping) experience!!! Deller's inspiration for the project was ‘London’s love for a good garden’. By the end of its time in the centre, Deller hopes his garden will have begun to bear fruit, which visitors will be free to take.

At the close of Deller’s botanical presentation, the garden will be donated to the Hammersmith Community Gardens Project - a suitably philanthropic act on the part of one of Britain’s artistic gems.
