Good Morning darlings...Hope you have a fabulous day today!!
With the use of GPS there is really not much use to all those maps we collected through out time...but somehow I have a hard time throwing them away. How about this lovely way of repurposing them?? I think they are super cute for a corridor to the kids room, or a small side wall!!
I also love the vignette inspiration (Tray + vintage spoons & other + apothecary jars= total bliss!!).
Can you think of any other great way of repurposing your maps??

What a great idea for honouring the places you've travelled too!
Oh wow! I love this. You have inspired me to do a little shadow box with city maps of all the places I have traveled with my hunny. Thanks so much for the great idea :)
Thank you also for the totally sweet comment you left on my blog. I totally appreciate your kind words.
Have a fantastic day!
Hi Sasha! Thanks for the idea! I love it! I picture these in a very cozy, bohemian baby nursery in black or red frames, with walls of deep purple or french provencal blue, instead. What do you think?
More ideas for maps ~ wrapping gifts, using as book covers, or using as a background for an inspiraration/style board.
I always pass up silver trays at the thrift store.....but not anymore :)
Sasha! That is fabulous! I LOVE maps and globes, and like the idea of antique ones, but I never thought of doing a map collage with all of the maps we have floating around in our glove compartment. So creative, you are so talented! Thank you for the button add, too! Cheers!
I have a long story about a map I received. I love the idea of maps around the house, but some people think I'm a little odd. This is a great idea, and I might try to experiment with it!
Wow Sasha this is a fabulous idea! I love it! Hope you're having a lovely week :)
great idea! I also love to use old maps as wrapping paper with a cute little matchbox car on it instead of a bow.
Nice idea! I am totally stealing it and running with it... :)

Daniella, I also thought of doing it with maps of places I've traveled to..or places I want to go to!

Oh, these are so pretty and adorable. I am totally keeping this idea in mind. My bestie has done a lot of traveling and would love to gift her with something like this.
On another note...That is so cool you and I have many things in common, like Journey, woot-woot.
Have a sweet day Sasha, (^-^)
That is such a good idea! Sentimental and beautiful. I'd love to have my favourite places framed where I can see them all the time.
:)

How wonderful, what a perfect project. My two granddaughters are moving and travelling all over, I will make the tiny heart maps of where they used to live - and for the present - for their rooms.
Thank you so much
Helen
Umm, love this idea! I dont even have maps lying aroumd, but I'm so going to buy tacky tourist maps just to do this!
I'm just stumbling upon this now ! I make origami, so I've been inspired by your post to use maps to make paper cranes.
This is such a great idea! I'm definitely going to try it with some subway maps!
Neat idea! This would look unique in our study. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely love this idea! Has anyone tried making it yet? I'd love to see more pictures of different ways this idea was implemented.

Found you on Pinterest. LOVE this idea, especially since my hubby is a photographer. We might use digital imagery (like Google maps) but love the idea. Thanks!

Beautiful idea. I have some old maps that will look better in a frame like this. Just need to think a suitable place for it.
Saw this on Pinterest and popped over to look. Gotta try this!
