Hair Inspiration: The Double-Knot!

Such a chic and different hair alternative!! Love it! I am not any expert on working my hair but I am willing to experimenting...! It looks like is the start of a braid... any suggestions on how to go about it?

I took ages to master the fishtail braid! This looks like a perfect done/undone alternative, only problem is how easy would it be to untangle?

That really is awesome - but it looks like it would just fall right out! I'm terrible at doing my hair so I have no idea, but I would also like to know so I can try to make it happen!

I'm no expert, but it looks like it started as a ponytail. Then she pulled the ponytail up through the middle (like a topsy tail), then cut the remaining hair in two and made a knot. You would likely have to wear bobby pins to get it to stay without coming undone.

Super cute regardless! Perhaps I can try it... :)

This is so awesome ... love messy "do's" ... it looks effortless but chic and elegant all at the same time.

I love you blog. Great inspiration every day!

ok, oddly enough, my brother helped me figure it out.

I put a low pony tail in my hair. I then took the whole pony tail & made the lower knot/loop you see on the bottom left hand side of her knot in the photo.

While holding the knot/loop in place I took that bottom, loose hair and put it through like a topsy tail. After pulling through the hair I pulled that hair through the first loop I made. The remainder hair can be split up to come out both sides to mimick the photo.

Hope this helps! It's kind of hard to explain it step by step it seems.

=)
