Having fun with Stripes (more)

Early spring is all about layering..and I love how they Incorporated two of this season trends...utilitarian+ stripes!
I am actually dressed very similar to the second picture today..except my tee is with red stripes and my jacket color is more camelish...

The one piece I have been overusing a lot so far is the utilitarian jacket..so versatile! How about you...has there been something you have been drawn to every day you get dressed...?

Bringing the Outside In

So in love with this garden....there is nothing like stepping outside to get your own flowers...!! There is something so therapeutic about taking care of plants and flowers....even if you live in an apartment, I totally encourage to go out and get a plant...!!

If Mulberry's Alexa bag is the "it" bag of the season these Alexander Wang are then the "it" shoe to have..!! His entire collection it's just fabulous but the Natasha or the Alla shoes stole the show....! I could literally have both please...
Plus the fact that this was his last collection makes it a really special shoe to own..don't you think?

Living in the Whites...

Dreaming with uncluttered white spaces...that could make you feel abundant and sophisticated by the simplicity and quality of the pieces used in the decor....
White on white rooms are tricky, they look very easy to put together but to do it right you need to play with texture and different types of whites to provide visual layers. White decor does however, give you the ability to bring together all different style of furniture...great when decorating on a budget!!
I miss my single days of white rooms, white sofas...everything white!!! My husband is not really into white, so for now I am left with posting about white rooms...! If you are single..please decorate in whites and pinks and soft hues....one of those things that you don't know you had till it's gone!!!

Spring is here + Garden projects!

Happy Monday to all!! Hope you had a fantastic weekend...thank you for all your messages!!!

So happy I could work on my garden! I planted more herbs and flowers, I bought more inside plants...so I guess you could say Spring has arrived in our home! There is still ways to go...my next garden project are:

* plant a kwanzan tree I discovered thanks to one of my Facebook followers (thank you Donna!)...

* plant my first tomatoes. I love cooking with our own herbs..and I can't imaging the joy when I could put a salad together with our own tomatoes...

Easter Tablescape Inspiration

I love Easter tablescapes...first the colors are so yummy full of pinks (having two boys I very rare get the opportunity of pink decor..) and blues and yellows and greens..in bright or soft shades! You can experiment with big branches centerpieces..and every year try new egg decor techniques...!

I have been in love with these tablescape since last year...so elegant & sophisticated yet very simple (all white eggs!!).

great for the kids...just a fun & colorful tablescape! I am thinking of using this centerpiece for the dessert table...I think could look great!


Great for a Easter Buffet..the bunny and carrot centerpiece in moss is just adorable! and really incorporates the scenery in the decor! Pretty , Simple & chic!


Wouldn't it be great to have just a plain white bunny collection to create little vignettes through out the house! A little bit more vintagy look in this tablescape they incorporated some vintage Easter cards..!

I love decorating with pieces that have a sentimental value.I think they bring such a personal touch and a sense that memories are being created in this house...!! And when you are doing things around your house..and you suddenly you spot the note your son left you one day....you are reminded what it's really important!

I love the softer side of turquoise..aqua! It's not as strong, but still as vivacious and dramatic in a more refreshing way. Aqua encourages a festive and celebratory mood. It’s close association with water conjures the more emotional qualities of fun, letting go and joy....!

I could really use those chairs..

On a personal note, apologize for being so slow on my posts but my youngest son has been ill this week...so I have been doing a lot of TLC...(nothing major just a virus)! Still I am cheering this opportunity of hugging him no end....! They are growing up so quickly...that any opportunity for extra hugs I embrace it with all my heart!

Wouldn't it be nice to just escape to a charming little Provence Chateau, with it's rustic country french design...surrounded by nature..and just enjoying every second of the day? I can even picture myself savoring some fabulous wine..with some fresh cheese and a piece of baguette...! I could just transport myself there with all this beautiful pictures form the book Provencal Escapes....and just to keep the dream alive I've checked some villas for rent in the area. Wouldn't renting a chateau here be a vacation of a lifetime?

Vintage Inspired Tablescape

Love this vintage tablescape with mismatch plates and splashes of flowers in soft pastels...very Shabby Chic, and perfect for a Spring get together. Doesn't it have an effortless chic feeling? I love that feeling of like you just put it together in a wimps and voila..everything worked out perfectly. Even thought sometimes there are hours/days of work behind it...nobody really needs to know...!

When it comes to buying plates I am always on the look...some are vintage..but you can also get great salad plates,etc at Pier 1, Pottery Barn, etc (most often on the sale section they have older season plates ...) and of course Home Goods always has a great selection.

Hermes World...Sur la route de la soie

Love me some Hermes scarfs.....!! If you have been reading this blog you know I have a thing for scarfs...and this editorial only feeds my obsession. So many beautiful color combinations...bright corals, strong pinks, shy yellows, camels and lots of naturals...! Love the way they are using some of the scarfs...great inspiration for spring/summer!
I would like to start using more scarfs in my house...maybe one day I'll get my silk scarf pillows..!
