Chic Bar Carts + Bar Basics

... Spring is all about entertaining in our home! And nothing like a well stock bar cart or a classical tray that screams cocktail ready, and have your guests fill at home while preparing their own drinks. With that in mind, I actually went this past weekend and got all the basic drinks for our bar.

Bar Basics: A martini shaker, cocktails glasses, Champagne flutes, wine glasses and martini glasses (keep a couple in the freezer at all times). Always have a supply of cocktail napkins on hand—linen are best!

Bar Essentials: A bar should include a mixture of dark and light liquors, beer, and wine {at least one white and one red}. Plus Vodka • Gin • Light rum • Scotch • Bourbon • Canadian whiskey • Dry vermouth • Campari • Champagne • Club soda • Tonic • Coca-Cola • Sprite or ginger ale • Lemons, limes and large cocktail olives.

Chic Bar Carts= Cocktail Ready!

Prost! Cheers! Sante! ChinChin!

Perfect timing! I was literally just thinking about what basics I need to stock on my bar cart.

thank you! I'm converting a side table this spring into a barcart for our apartment and I'll take this list when I'm done and stock it up!

Love this! I wish I had space for one...and had the time to dust off the bottles and glasses each day.

The last image is plum delectable! The bar cart is gorgeous.

They are such glamorous things, aren't they? So exciting that they are making a comeback.

Now with a fully stocked bar like your list, I can imagine some pretty good cocktails coming up soon!

Hi there!

Great post -- just wanted to let you know that the last image is actually from our magazine's site, Style at Home, not from House and Home.

Thanks!
