Food: Queen Elizabeth’s Recipe for Scones

As I mentioned earlier on the week, we will be meeting for  Breakfast and Hats tomorrow morning with a couple of friends....... just to enjoy all the Royal Wedding buzz!! Plus who doesn't love the excuse to wear a fabulous hat?? I offered to make some scones... since they are so English and I remember having them after school for tea with butter and jam at my friend Claire's home!! And how fabulous is this, instead of doing a more traditional recipe.. I'll be making some scones using Queen Elizabeth's recipe...!! I hope the Royal Scones taste great!!

By the way, I'll be tweeting tomorrow morning about the wedding!! If you are the only one awake in your house... come join me and let's watch the wedding together tweeting away!!

So funny that you posted this! 2 days ago my sister sent me this very recipe for dropped scones, which she will be making tomorrow morning bright and early to watch the wedding...love it!

I love that the recipe uses "teacups" as a unit of measurement! I'd have a hard time following it!
