DIY: Mother's Day Flower Bouquet!

...with mother's day around the corner, I thought that this flower tutorial would be a great inspiration! You can give it to your mother or sister, have it ready for your mother's day brunch tablescape.... or you can send an email with the step by step to your husband and maybe he can surprise you with the kids on Mother's day!!! ;)

The hues and flowers from the bouquet are so pretty that bring a smile to my face every time I look at it!!

* flower clippers
* floral tape
* ribbon

* 2 bunches of pink and white sweet peas
* 2 stems of pink ranunculus
* 3 stems of viburnum
* 1 stem of pink hyacinth (opened)
* 1 stem of double daffodil

1. Remove most of the leaves from the stems.
2. Start with the two bunches of sweet peas as the base of your bouquet.
3. Add viburnum to the lower and upper corners of the bouquet, diagonally from each other.
4. Fill in holes with ranunculus, hyacinth, daffodil, and extra viburnum.
5. Secure with floral tape.
6. Add ribbon.
7. Trim stems.

Keep it in water in a dark, cool place away from direct sunlight, specially if you are giving it as a present! If you are using it for your tablescape,  I will recommend that you trim the stems once you have chosen the right flower vase.  I personally think a white glass milk vase would be the perfect match for such a colorful bouquet... and would sure brighten any mother's day brunch or lunch table setting!!

* Hyacinths exude a sticky substance that causes rashes on some people – be mindful of this when working with it and wash hands after touching. Also, sweet peas are delicate so the less you move them, the better.

These are beautiful and remind me of a walk in a park!
My mom is a florist, so unfortunately it's the hardest thing to do my own arrangements and hope she loves them. I'm sure she would but I have to get super creative ha!

Happy Friday
