Food: Pear, Walnut, and Ricotta Crostini

Love learning new cute appetizers or small snack food that you can put together for a impromptu friend visit or just because you want to treat yourself to something delicious!! You can pour this flavorful toppings over a simple crostini baguette or toast from a country-style loaf.

Here is the recipe:

Ingredients {serves 4}
* 1 1/4 cups ricotta cheese
* Pear slices
* Walnut pieces
* Coarse salt and ground pepper
* Honey

* Divide ricotta cheese among crostini.
* Top each piece with several ripe pear slices and some walnut pieces.
* Season with salt and pepper and drizzle each with honey. Serve immediately.

.... and voila you have a fabulous mid day snack to enjoy with friends and family in literally 5 minutes!

I love entertaining with these types of recipes. It's less stuffy and formal and much easier on the hostess. I feel like the simpler the food/drinks the more fun the party is!

This looks delish! And I don't really like walnuts. Random walnut fact, they help prevent chapped lips! Weird. Thanks for the new recipe!
