The third version of Hermes knotted cards came out this Spring and unfortunately you can't get them at their store anymore, but you can try to get this season or even try for vintage cards {totally a collectors item} from previous seasons on Ebay! Now dahlings, get your scarfs out...!!

Food: Pizza Party

Photobucket
I love pizza parties... there is always such a relax, fun atmoshpere! Is the perfect party to do with a group of friends that don't know each other because the camaraderie of cooking together guarantees that everybody will get to know each other fast over some delicious food!! Plus makes for a great summer party!!

I always make pizza dough early in the day {just in case I always have an extra dough from Whole Food or any other grocery store}. There are so many variables to the ingredients and flavors you can choose...!! Of course my fav is from Ina Garten! Here is the recipe:
Photobucket

California Pizza

INGREDIENTS

Dough {Makes 6 pizzas}

* 1 1/4 cups warm water
* 2 packages dry yeast
* 1 tbsp honey {this is Ina's Gartner's secret!!}
* 3 tbsp olive oil
* 4 cups all-purpose flour, plus extra for kneading
* 2 tsp kosher salt
* Cornmeal

Preparation
1. Combine the water, yeast, honey and olive oil in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a dough hook.
2. Add 3 cups flour, then the salt and mix. While mixing add 1 more cup of flour, or enough to make a soft dough.
3. Knead the dough on medium speed for about 10 minutes until smooth, sprinkling it with flour if necessary to keep it from sticking to the bowl.
4. When the dough is ready, turn it out onto a floured board and knead by hand a dozen times. It should be smoothed and elastic.
5. Place the dough in a well oiled bowl and turn it several times to cover it lightly with oil. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel.
6. Allow the dough to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
7. Divide the dough into 6 equal parts and roll each one into a smooth ball. Place the ball on a baking sheet and cover them with a damp towel.
8. Allow the dough to rest for 10 minutes. Use immediately, or refrigerate for up to 4 hours {but take it out aprox 30 minutes before using it so it comes to room temperature}.
9. Preheat oven to 500 degrees.
10. Roll and stretch each ball into a rough 8-inch circle and place them all on baking sheet sprinkled with cornmeal.
11. Brush the dough with olive oil and add any toppings you wish, piling them high.
12. Drizzle each pizza with 1 tbsp pf olive oil and bake for 15 minutes, until the crust is crisp and the toppings are cooked.

Toppings
* 1 red onion, thinly sliced
* 1 pound fresh mozzarella, grated
* 1/2 pound Italian Fontina, grated
* 1/2 pound mild goat cheese, sliced
* 1 red or yellow red pepper, cored, seeded and julienne
* 1/4pound prosciutto, thinly sliced and julienned
* 1 bunch arugula, cleaned and dried
* 6 plum tomatoes, sliced 1/4 inch thick
* 4 turkey sausages, cooked and sliced
* 1 bunch basil leaves, cleaned and dried
* 4 garlic cloves, roasted
* crush red paper flakes

Specially for summer love this idea of making fresh pizzas without covering it in tomato sauce but using fresh ingredients!!

As for wine... I like to serve aMaurice Syrah {$$$}, Alamos, Malbec from Argnetina {$$} you can get it at Whole Food, or a spanish tempranillo Campo Viejo {$}.

Ok now I am tempted... I think I'm cooking this tonight!!!
