Decor Inspiration: Living with Color & Art {Devon Radziwill Downtonw NY Loft}

A traditional loft located in what used to be a manufacturing building, where elements from the original building where rpeserved—exposed brick walls, high ceilings, wood beams; is brought back to life with contemporary art and modern books as a means of introducing color into the apartment!

This is not totally my style but love to see how art and accessories can totally change the mood of a place! what is your take, do you like it?

Decor Inspiration: Art Love

<span class=<span class=
Love how art allows you to add a splash a color to the decor! You can have a serene room done in cream hues but add a vibrant paint and some colorful pillows and you can totally transform your room. Lately, I'm totally coveting abstracts art in lilacs and coral.. they look so pretty!

Decor Inspiration: Abstract Art...

<span class=
....add a pop of pop of color and bring some sophistication to your decor with some abstract art! I really love all different types of art.... but in a living room, entrance or corridor I tend to fancy abstract art... mainly because of how they use form and color! Plus if you are super crafty you can even take a chance and do it yourself! What type of art do you like?

Love this living room from the fabulous Amy Beth Cupp Dragoo from ABCD Design! And even thought she is in the process of decorating her new house {I just can't wait to see the end result!}...this living room will always be in my fav file!

Love her collection of art prints... or for that matter love art in the house period. Since I had kids I had to let go of my white couches... and every time I see one I need to stop and breath...! How fabulous is that white couch?

Hope your day is going great!

Giveaway: An Original Painting!

Nothing more chic when decorating than original paintings....!! Love walking into a home and seeing an original here and there... it just adds a level of sophistication and style to it!!

That's is the reason that I am so happy to partner with Erica from Studio Eriksdotter for the next of her original paintings!

Born and raised in Sweden, Erica Eriksdotter’s gift for painting surfaced early in life. Inspired by her grandfather’s talent as a child, she started working with water colors and sold her first paintings at the age of 10.

“Painting has always been a creative outlet for me, but lately it is more than just painting,” says Erica. "It is letting go of the fear and allowing myself to trust my hands and my talent. Each painting is more than just paint on a canvas, it is a story and each layer forms that story for the viewer to enjoy.”

Some of Erica's Acrylic Work

"I hope to inspire, make people happy with my art and strive to make the viewer aware of and believe in the vibrancy of life. It's all about celebrating life with color and hopefully bring joy to the room and the viewer."

Not only is she super talented, but working with her on this giveaway I got to meet a fabulous, super nice artist full of energy & joy!

For a chance to win one of her paintings, you need to:

*Become a “follower” of Everything Fabulous. To do this, just click the blue “Follow” button at the top of the first row.

Designer Crush: Samantha Pynn

I currently have a crush on Designer Samantha Pynn's work! There is a freshness in the way she plays with fabric, texture & color that I love! Happy to see we share the same Imperial Trellis II obsession (I want, I need and I crave a green Imperial Trellis chair now!). Love how she also uses bold wallpaper... pinks and purples, aquas, apple green & blues colors.. and how she creates rooms that have a feminine touch!
I could literally go on and on telling you what exactly I love about it...but I think I rather read from you, do you like her work? and if so what in particular?

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!!

Displaying art or pictures frames is something that always has me tossing and turning and changing frames over and over again looking for the right collage... How about you, are you very structured for your art wall or you just start putting it together as you feel it? would love to read your thoughts about it!

It's been a long day..! Hope you have a beautiful Tuesday!

Fabulous Detail + Art by Sixx Design

Don't you looove how just a simple long glass jar with some luscious flowers against some fabulous art creates drama in the decor? I saw this picture a couple of weeks ago as I was looking at the portfolio of Sixx Design (from the Bravo TV show 9 by Design), and I just couldn't get it out of my mind. Love the fact that is very practical (we all have one of those tall glasses in our house) yet does not go unnoticed... instead of a traditional bouquet I am going for more drama this weekend!!

Have you used your tall glasses like this before? How about that print...?? Although I must say...there is only one Queen in my house...and it's not Queen of England!! (tease, tease!).

Hope you are having a fantastic Friday!!!

Animals in Fashion by The Selby

<span class=
The Selby does again...I really love everything they put their hands into. Their latest project was "Animals in Fashion" for Dossier Magazine Spring 2009 Issue. All the Illustrations are by The Selby & Styling by Aya Kanai.
My favorite is the Dolphin in Alexander Wang...although the pig in Michael Kors is close to it.

Which one is your favourite?

Make sure you visit their site for more fabulous animals in fashion.
